Assessment of gender differences in secondary school achievement among Moroccan students

In Morocco, as in many other countries of North Africa and Middle East, access to education has improved during the last few decades, gender gaps secondary school enrolment have already disappeared. addition, there is increasing evidence that girls been outperforming boys decade. The aim this study was assess differences three Moroccan high schools. Data collected, August-October 2022, from results 2022 Morocco’s Baccalaureate exam which refers graduation examinations. We analyzed general baccalaureate grades all students establishments. sample options (experimental sciences, literature Human mathematic) categorized by into male female. To difference, a Mann–Whitney test used. Results showed an increase number compared at studied schools, proved outperform two experimental sciences well human streams. On contrary, although exceeds for mathematics option, they both score identical subject. This difference between female students, favors over boys, discussed light numerous scientific studies.
